The sandy desert encompassing the town supports wild grasses and occasional day palms. Desert hyacinths develop inside the sabkha plains east of the city, whilst acacia and ghaf trees improve while in the flat plains throughout the proximity with the Western Al Hajar mountains. Quite a few Indigenous trees such as the date palm and neem along with
